Mystical Seeds come from seed trees in Holodrum. Each tree produces one seed type, and it only bears seeds during one season, so you need the right season before you can harvest it. The five types are Ember, Scent, Pegasus, Gale and Mystery. You carry them in the Seed Satchel and fire them from the Slingshot, and each one has its own job: lighting torches, warping you between trees, dashing, luring enemies or giving hints.

Seed tree locations

Ember Seed tree (Horon Village)

The Ember Seed tree stands in Horon Village near Vasu’s Jewelers. Slash it with your sword to shake out Ember Seeds. It bears seeds in winter, so visit it in the winter season. When your satchel runs low on Ember Seeds, strike the tree again to refill it. The early route in the Tower of Winter chapter uses it this way.

Scent Seed tree (North Horon)

In North Horon, walk through the snowy screens to a green meadow with a pond and a cave mouth. Keep heading north and east to a clearing with a single seed tree. Strike it to collect Scent Seeds. The tree bears in spring, so come back in spring for more. The route is covered in Spool Swamp and the Floodgate Key.

Pegasus Seed tree (Spool Swamp)

In the red-leaf maze of Spool Swamp, follow the signpost that points up toward Tarm Ruins. A short walk north of the second sign about treasure maps, a red tree stands by itself in a ring of red-leaf bushes. Slash it for Pegasus Seeds. The tree bears in autumn, so keep the season set to autumn while you collect them. See Spool Swamp and the Floodgate Key.

Gale Seed tree (Sunken City)

From the Sunken City, head east and then north along the edge of the city, past the blue trees, until you reach an island with a Gale Seed tree. Slash it for your first Gale Seeds. The tree only bears seeds in summer. Once you have visited it, you can warp back to it at any time with a Gale Seed. See Sunken City and Zora’s Flippers.

Mystery Seed tree (Woods of Winter)

In the Woods of Winter, a single seed tree stands in the middle of a glade past the leaf piles. Strike it with your sword to shake out Mystery Seeds. Clear the leaf piles on the way with the Shovel, and return whenever you need more. The tree bears in summer. See Woods of Winter and the Shovel.

Gale Seed warps

Open the Gale Seed map from the item menu and choose a destination. A Gale Seed takes you to any seed tree you have already visited, so once you have reached the Sunken City tree you can warp back to it from anywhere. Keep a few Gale Seeds in your satchel before a long route, because a warp only goes to trees you have already visited.

Seed Satchel upgrades

Your Seed Satchel starts small. Show the Member’s Card to the shopkeeper in Horon Village, and he lets you into the members’ room, where the satchel upgrade to 99 of each seed costs 300 Rupees. You get the Member’s Card from the Subrosian Market. Once upgraded, the satchel holds 99 Ember, Scent, Pegasus, Gale and Mystery Seeds.
