The Subrosian Market is where you spend Ore Chunks in Subrosia. The best-value buys are the Member’s Card, which opens the members’ room of the Horon Village shop, the Rare Peach Stone, which becomes a Piece of Heart, and the red Bomb, which upgrades your Bomb Bag to 30. You earn Ore Chunks by digging with the Shovel and by winning at the Dance Hall. Most early stock costs 5 to 50 Ore Chunks, so plan a few digs and dances before you arrive.

Getting Ore Chunks

Dig on the beach

Follow the path past the grassy plateau and down the steps into the orange sand. Equip the Shovel and dig the patches of loose soil. Blue chunks are worth 1 Ore Chunk and red chunks are worth 5. Digging elsewhere in Subrosia can turn up a few more.

Win at the Dance Hall

Each dance win after the first one pays 50 Ore Chunks. See the Dance Hall guide for the steps.

The Seed Ring prices rise as you buy them, so the 50 and 70 Ore Chunk rings come after the first two. Items 9 and 10 are sold by the same keeper and are not on the main route.

What to buy first

Buy the Member’s Card

Walk to the red Market tent on the lava and go in. The first merchant offers a shiny item marked “Member’s Card” for 5 Ore Chunks. Answer yes. The card opens the members’ room of the Horon Village shop, which sells the Seed Satchel upgrade. The Mt. Cucco stretch of the route is in the Tower of Spring chapter.

Buy the Rare Peach Stone

Pay 20 Ore Chunks and 10 Ember Seeds for the Rare Peach Stone. Say yes and the stone becomes Piece of Heart 5 of 12. The Heart Piece locations page lists the other eleven.

Buy the Bomb Bag upgrade

Take the red Bomb for 10 Bombs and 50 Ore Chunks. Your Bomb Bag then holds 30 Bombs, and the game refills it with free Bombs. This upgrade is permanent. The Equipment Upgrades page lists the later sizes.

Trade the Star-Shaped Ore for the Ribbon

Once you have dug up the Star-Shaped Ore on the beach, speak to the keeper and answer yes to swap it for the Ribbon. The Ribbon goes to Rosa, as described in the Subrosia guide and the Tower of Summer chapter.

Buy rings and a Gasha Seed

Buy the first Seed Ring for 30 Ore Chunks and the next for 40 Ore Chunks. A Gasha Seed is on sale for 40 Ore Chunks, and the keeper tells you to plant it in soft soil. Get the rings appraised at Vasu’s Jewelers in Horon Village, and see the Gasha Seed locations page for where to plant.

Notes on prices

The 100 Ore Chunk and 20 Scent Seed Gasha Seed is a separate, later offer, not the first one. The prices above match the route in the chapters, and two other sites agree on the lists in the table.
