Oracle of Seasons 100% Completion Walkthrough26 chapters
CoversSubrosia (the Strange Brothers’ Treasure Grove, the Subrosian Market, the cave to the Temple of Seasons and the Tower of Spring), then the Mt. Cucco highlands in spring, winter and summer, up to the vines in front of Dungeon 4.
DungeonNone cleared here. You finish at the entrance of the Dancing Dragon Dungeon (Dungeon 4), which the next chapter clears.
RewardsRoc’s Feather back, 4 Gasha Seeds, Member’s Card, the Power of Spring for the Rod of Seasons, 1 unappraised ring, Spring Banana, Moosh as your animal companion, Piece of Heart 7 of 12, Dragon Key, 30 Rupees.

Two Subrosians take your Roc’s Feather the moment you step through the highlands portal, and you have to follow them across their Treasure Grove and dig it up again. While you are down there you collect three Gasha Seeds, buy the Member’s Card at the Subrosian Market and walk to the Tower of Spring for the power of spring. Back on Mt. Cucco you feed Moosh a Spring Banana, ride him to a Piece of Heart and the Dragon Key, and use the key to stop the waterfall over Dungeon 4. A summer vine finishes the way in.

Subrosia: get Roc’s Feather back from the Strange Brothers

Step through the highlands portal

Take the swirling portal in the rocky yellow hills of the Mt. Cucco highlands. You come out in Subrosia, where your Rupees are replaced by Ore Chunks. A red Subrosian and a blue one bump into you, grab the Roc’s Feather, and leave a lump of Fool’s Ore in its place. The Ore is worthless; you need the Feather back before you can reach the next tower.

Find where the thieves live

Ask around on the lava paths. A Subrosian villager tells you the two thieves are weirdos who collect Rupees and other junk, and that they live in a strange house nearby. Walk to the yellow-brick house, go in and listen: the pair announce they are going to bury some treasure and that nobody had better see them. Follow them out through the far door.

Tail them across the Treasure Grove

The brothers cross several screens of grass and trees. They only see straight ahead of them, so stay out of their line of sight behind trees and rock clusters. Wait on each screen until both have left before you move on, and never walk in front of them. If they spot you they run off and you must start the chase again from their house, so go slowly.

Dig up the Feather

On the last screen the thieves stop at an orange marker tile in the grass, bury the Feather and wander off. Equip the Shovel and dig in the patch of soft soil beside the marker. Digging also turns up a few Ore Chunks. When the Feather comes out of the ground you get it back, and the game tells you to return the ore.

Put the Feather back on a button

Leave the grove and walk to the red houses on the lava ledge, where the blue Subrosian stands. Open your items and equip the Roc’s Feather again; you need it to jump lava for everything that follows.

Hop the lava pool for a Gasha Seed

Head to the Subrosian house on the lava hill that has a pool of lava in its upper-left corner. Jump across the pool with the Roc’s Feather to reach the Subrosian standing there, who gives you a Gasha Seed and tells you to plant it in soft soil. Keep it unplanted for now. A second Subrosian in the house grumbles about who would want a dirty feather.

Repeat the chase for a second Gasha Seed

Go back to the Strange Brothers’ house and tail the pair again, using the same cover. Their route changes each time. This time the buried treasure is a Gasha Seed and some Ore Chunks. Dig it up at the marker, and again pick the Feather as your button item before you walk away.

Subrosian Market: Member’s Card and Gasha Seed

Buy the Member’s Card

Walk to the red Market tent on the lava and go in. The first merchant offers a shiny item marked “Member’s Card” for 5 Ore Chunks; answer Sure. The card opens the members’ room of the Horon Village shop, where the Seed Satchel upgrade is sold, so keep it.

Buy the “Silver Seed”

The next merchant calls a Gasha Seed a “Silver Seed” and asks 100 Ore Chunks plus 20 Scent Seeds on this visit, a separate offer from the 40-Ore Gasha Seed in the Market. Accept if you can spare them. You receive a third Gasha Seed of the chapter, and your Ore Chunk counter drops by 100.

The cave to the Temple of Seasons and the Tower of Spring

Cross the platform cave for another Gasha Seed

Leave the Market and follow the lava path to the cave entrance. Inside, climb the ladder on the right side, hop the moving green platforms with the Roc’s Feather and avoid the lava below. The lower chamber holds a free Gasha Seed, your fourth in this chapter. Climb back out of the cave to the surface.

Receive the Power of Spring

You come out in front of the Tower of Spring, part of the Temple of Seasons. Cross the lava rivers with the Roc’s Feather, climb the two flights of steps and stand before the pink statue. The Spirit of Spring tells you that rock-hard buds bloom in spring and lends the Rod of Seasons the power of spring. Your Rod can now switch a stump to winter, summer and spring.

Go back to the highlands

Leave the temple, recross the platform cave and walk west past the volcano house to the swirling portal on the red ledge. It lifts you back to the Mt. Cucco highlands with your Rupee counter returning to 939. Ore Chunks stay in Subrosia.

Mt. Cucco: Moosh, the ring and the Spring Banana

Set the stump to spring and meet Moosh

A tree stump sits next to the cliff above the two waterfall caves. Stand on it and use the Rod of Seasons to call spring. The rock flowers on the ledge to the east bloom, and Moosh, a blue winged bear, waits there wishing he could get a Spring Banana. Cut through the flowers with your sword to reach him. Below the cliff you can already see a Piece of Heart on a ledge, which you collect later.

Use the Flying Cucco

Follow the sandy cliffs to the signpost that reads “Flaps when held”. Lift the blue rooster beside it with the Power Bracelet, jump off the cliff holding it and tap A to flap upward, steering left or right to land on the ledge above. Two cave doors in the cliff above lead to the ring and to the Spring Banana.

Get the ring from the pad-block cave

The first cave is dark and full of bats. Ride the green floating pad blocks to a stone island and step on the green switch. A ring drops down on the far side. You get an unappraised ring (“Get it appraised later!”); one source names it as the Green Joy Ring. Take it to Vasu when you pass.

Cross the pit cave to the palm tree

Fly up the second time and enter the other cave. Hop the pits with the Roc’s Feather, kill the bats and lift the rock with the Power Bracelet to leave. You step out on a tiny sky islet with a palm tree. Slash the bananas with your sword and you receive a Spring Banana, which smells sweet.

Feed Moosh

Drop down to Moosh’s ledge, cut through the spring flowers again and hand him the Spring Banana. He eats it, introduces himself and offers to give you a ride. Tap A to make him hover; he cannot cross deep water. Moosh now follows you as your animal companion, replacing Dimitri.

Piece of Heart 7 and the Dragon Key

Ride Moosh to the stump island

Ride Moosh east past the swirling portal, back to the grass field and across the wooden bridge beside the waterfall. Hover across the river to the stump on the small island and walk to its southern edge. Hop off the cliff through the gap to land on the ledge below, where you collect a Piece of Heart (7 of 12).

Ride to the winter pit room

Ride Moosh west along the sandy ridge into the snowy region, which is winter here. A room of pink rock is covered in pits and rubble. Moosh tells you to hover across the pits, so tap A to float from stone to stone while the pits go by below.

Take the Dragon Key

At the far side of the pit room you find the Dragon Key. Fly back over the pits, leave through the snowy field and go back across the stone bridges and ledges to the waterfall bridge. Moosh leaves when you walk off the screen without him.

Dive for 30 Rupees

Return to the stump island above the waterfalls and set the stump to summer. Swim into the dark spot at the foot of the waterfall, which needs the Flippers from Sunken City, and follow the underwater cave to a ledge with a pedestal that holds 30 Rupees. Surface and use the stump to switch to winter for the next step.

The keyhole, the waterfall and the way into Dungeon 4

Cross the snow cave

In winter, walk west from the waterfall to a snow bank that leads to a cave in the cliff. Hop the pits inside, past the gem piles, bats and spiders, and climb the steps to the pink sky ledge with the “Flaps when held” signpost.

Use the Dragon Key

Lift the blue rooster with the Power Bracelet and float it east across the gap. On the ledge beyond you find the keyhole. Use the Dragon Key and the waterfall that covers the dungeon door stops, drying up the entrance below.

Switch to summer and swim to Dungeon 4

Jump down the cliff gap to the stump below, use the Rod to call summer and the vines grow in front of the door. Swim across the pond to the vines, climb them and enter the Dancing Dragon Dungeon (Dungeon 4).
