“Urbosa, the Gerudo Chief” is a Chapter 2 battle opened by Road to the Ancient Lab. Gerudo soldiers attack Zelda’s party on the way into Gerudo Town because a Yiga impostor has taken Urbosa’s place. You break into town, expose the impostor, lure a Molduga with loud attacks, capture the Yiga outposts and finish with Master Kohga. Urbosa becomes playable in the middle of the battle.

Table of Contents
Before you start
The recommended level is 5. You start with Link, Impa and Zelda, and Urbosa joins you in town. Bring your best weapons for Link and Impa and a meal with a damage bonus for Master Kohga. The four champion battles can be played in any order, but The Yiga Clan Attacks! needs all four cleared.

Approaching Gerudo Town
Gerudo Captains at the south entrance
The first goal is to approach the town from the south, because going straight at the front is too hard. Fight through the soldiers on the way and take down the Electric Wizzrobe that appears on the dunes.

Near the entrance the Yiga spring a trap and a new objective, Defeat the Gerudo Captain that appeared (0/2), asks you to defeat both Gerudo Captains. Dodge their attacks and hit back between combos. When both fall, the gates open and Zelda tells everyone to go to Gerudo Town.

Inside Gerudo Town
Fighting through the streets
A Capture the Outposts objective appears at the gate, but push through the Yiga soldiers on the stairs toward the palace first; the outposts come later. A cutscene exposes the false Urbosa as Master Kohga, and the real Urbosa appears. A message tells you that you can now play as Urbosa.

Defeat the Yiga Blademasters
Retake the town by defeating the three Yiga Blademasters outside. Urbosa’s attacks charge a lightning gauge, so keep attacking to fill it, then use it. Fight each Blademaster on its own and defeat all three. A success message confirms that the town is secured.

Luring the Molduga
Head for the targeted position. Urbosa explains that a beast in the northern desert will scare off the Yiga if it is stirred up, so the objective becomes Defeat the enemies with a loud attack, then Defeat the Yiga Clan using Remote Bombs. Use Remote Bombs on the Yiga with the Sheikah Slate rune button, then detonate them. Once the noise is loud enough the Molduga appears and the Yiga flee.

As you cross the northern sand, a Yiga Footsoldier shouts that the Molduga is coming. Expect the Molduga and the Yiga to attack together, and clear the Yiga around it.

Capturing the Yiga outposts
Zelda tells everyone to encircle the enemy, and a Capture the Outposts objective appears. Split up, take one outpost, change character and take the next. Gerudo Captains arrive to help, and Yiga Blademasters keep appearing near the outposts. Capture all of them and the enemy opens the gates.

Master Kohga boss fight
Defeat Master Kohga at the marked location. Partway through the fight he creates a copy of himself, so keep your lock-on on the real one with the boss health bar and ignore the double where you can.

Dodge his big attacks, then strike while he recovers. Use Urbosa’s lightning for damage and Weak-Point Smashes when a gauge appears. When the fight ends in a cutscene, Kohga orders a retreat (“Forget these cowards. It’s time to retreat.”), the Yiga pull back across the sand, and the battle ends.

Urbosa, the Gerudo Chief Korok Seeds
There are 9 Korok Seeds in this battle. Several are reached before the town opens, so grab them as you go.

Seed 1: southeast rocks
On the south approach, head southeast to a pile of rocks and blow it open with a Remote Bomb.

Seed 3: flower in the south gully
Stay on the sand south of the town and follow the rock gully. A flower at its end hides the seed.

Seed 4: palace roof
Outside Urbosa’s throne room, climb onto the sunlit palace roof, where the Korok sits.

Seed 5: alley past the barrels
Inside the town, in the stone alley past the barrels, the seed sits against the wall.

Seed 6: northern gate
Look beside the town’s gate, at the foot of the stone wall, where a red flower grows.

Seed 7: sandstone blocks
From the gate leading north out of town, go northwest across the desert to the broken sandstone blocks, where sparkles rise from the sand and the Korok stands.

Seed 8: flying fruit
East of the large open stretch of desert in the northwest, turn south and shoot down the flying fruit at the end.

Seed 9: shadowed rock cleft
On the south approach to the town, check the shadowed rock cleft as you pass. A Korok sits against the wall.
