Destroy the Yiga Clan! is played in two stages. First Urbosa pilots the Divine Beast Vah Naboris across the Gerudo Desert to flatten the Yiga defences, then you storm the Yiga Clan Hideout on foot: capture three outposts, rescue two Gerudo scouts, defeat Sooga and finally bring down Master Kohga. Clearing it earns the Knight’s Broadsword and the Creamy Meat Soup recipe, and opens When Courage Fails.

Table of Contents
Before you start
Aim for level 33 or higher. The hideout fills narrow corridors with Yiga Blademasters, Fire Moblins and an Electric Moblin, so bring warriors with wide crowd-clearing combos and a meal that boosts attack or recovery. Keep your Sheikah Slate runes ready for Master Kohga: Magnesis, Stasis, Cryonis and Remote Bombs each answer one of his attacks.

Vah Naboris Divine Beast stage
Clear the dunes
The battle opens with Urbosa at the controls of Vah Naboris and the objective to defeat the Yiga Clan while heading for their hideout. Vah Naboris walks across the sand and uses its lightning attacks on the Yiga towers, soldiers and monsters in your path. Urbosa wonders whether a shape stirring on one of the dunes is a Molduga; keep moving and do not let it slow the advance.

Smash the barricade
Near the hideout, Urbosa tells you to charge and smash through. Destroy the obstacles blocking the Yiga lookout until they break, and the stage ends. The run is short, and a big part of your score comes from the KOs you rack up along the way.

Yiga Clan Hideout
Capture the three outposts
On foot, the objective is to capture three outposts. Fight across the sand field at the entrance, beat the first Yiga Blademaster, then defeat the Blue Moblin that guards the first outpost to capture it. Keep following the single path forward.

A Fire Moblin waits in the large room past the first outpost. Defeat it, grab the loot nearby and follow the stone corridors to the Yiga stockpile, a hall stacked with crates of Mighty Bananas. Clear the Yiga Footsoldiers around it to capture the second outpost.

Push on through the alleys to capture the third outpost, the weapon cache. Its loot includes 11 Raw Bird Drumsticks, a Traveler’s Claymore and a Kakariko Kodachi.

Rescue the first scout
Head for the canals to meet the first Gerudo scout. Two Yiga Blademasters surround her, so defeat both. She tells you the enemy leader waits in a square at the very back of the hideout, but she does not know how to reach it, and that her friend was taken to the dungeon.

Rescue the second scout
Follow the objective to free the captive scout. The route includes a wall jump and a stretch where you can use the paraglider, and some gates open only after you defeat a Yiga Blademaster. Cut through the Yiga crowds and the stone-floor rooms to reach the gate hall.

In the gate hall the gates close and an Electric Moblin appears. Defeat it, then beat the Yiga Blademaster guarding the scout. Once she is free she shows you the hidden door, and “The Hidden Door has opened!” appears.

Sooga boss fight
Storm through the hidden door to find Sooga waiting in the hall. He uses lightning attacks and a blue shield, so dodge, wait out the shield and attack when it drops. After you wear down his health he admits defeat (“It seems they bested me”) and the fight ends.

Master Kohga boss fight
Follow the objective to head for the deepest level. A cutscene introduces Master Kohga on the desert ruins outside. His iron-ball attacks can be answered with your runes: use Magnesis to redirect a thrown iron bomb, Cryonis against his charge, Remote Bombs to break his walking iron bomb and Stasis against the small bombs. Watch for the Flurry Rush prompt that appears on him, then press Y to follow up while he is open.

Partway through the fight, Sooga returns to fight at Kohga’s side. Defeat Sooga first, avoid locking on to the wrong target, and then finish Kohga. He tries to run away, and the battle ends in victory.

Korok Seeds
The hideout holds eight Korok Seeds. Look for yellow flowers, sparkling spots, balloons and pinwheels, and break crates that look out of place. See the Korok Seed locations page for the whole map.

Start area
On the sand at the start of the hideout run, slash the tall grass on the dune to make a red sprout Korok appear. Next, hit the floating red balloon near the entrance, then turn around to find the Korok on the sand.

Outpost corridors
In the corridor to the first outpost, inspect the shining spot on the ground. Past the spear hall and up the next stairs, find the pinwheel in the crate hall and inspect it. Further on, in the lantern-lit corridor after the stairway, break the crate to find the last Korok here.

Scout route and Sooga room
Halfway down the stairway toward the scout there is another pinwheel; inspect it. Past the next staircase in the scout’s cave, inspect the glowing spot on the cave floor. The last seed is in the room after Sooga: strike the ground in front of the wooden crates, and a Korok bursts up.
