UnlocksAkkala Tower, the Champion's Tunic Champion’s Tunic for Link Link, and a new batch of Hyrule map quests

This is the last battle of Chapter 3, and you fight it as Link alone. You have 25 minutes to cut through a monster horde on the road to Hyrule Castle, help two Hylian Captains hold their bridges, and then defeat a pair of Stone Taluses at the end of the route. Clearing it opens the next story battle, Akkala Tower, and gives Link the Champion’s Tunic.

Before you start

Level 23 is the recommended level. Link is your only fighter, so there is no team to plan. Bring a weapon that handles crowds well, since the horde will feed you KOs by the hundred, and eat a meal that raises attack or speed before you enter. Remote Bombs matter most here: they are your best tool against the Taluses, and they also free one of the Korok Seeds.

Reach the marker on the southwest corner

Break through the first outposts

Your main goal is the targeted position in the southwest corner of the map, and the clock starts at 25:00. Run ahead of the soldiers and capture every outpost you pass. Taking an outpost opens the way and lets your allies advance behind you, and the first one is close to the start.

Keep moving toward the marker rather than clearing every group. Moblin and Bokoblin waves fill the road, and a wooden gate stands in your way partway along; smash through it and keep going. The time limit is the only way to fail this battle, so do not wander far from the road in the first minutes.

Fire Wizzrobe

Blue Moblin and the first Wizzrobes

Further along you meet a Blue Moblin that fights with lightning and a thrown Bokoblin attack, followed by a Fire Wizzrobe. Dodge their attacks, strike when they pause, and finish each with a Weak-Point Smash once its weak-point gauge empties. An Electric Wizzrobe then appears as you approach the bridges.

Electric Wizzrobe

Aid the Hylian Captains

Once the road opens up, the objective changes to aiding the two Hylian Captains, with a counter showing how many you have helped. Head south across the wooden bridges and capture the outpost where the first captain is pinned down. Defeat the Ice Moblin and the Electric Wizzrobe fighting on the bridge, then move on to the second captain.

A Black Moblin holds the wooden bridges between you and the western outposts, with a Hylian Captain fighting beside you. When both captains are safe, they promise to join Zelda’s escort and tell the troops to follow your lead, and the objective returns to the targeted position. More Electric Wizzrobes and an Ice Wizzrobe wait on the plain beyond. Treat each as a short duel: avoid the first hit, hit back, and keep your combo going on the crowd around them.

Capture the remaining western outposts and keep following the marker. An Electric Moblin guards the last stretch of bridges, and it hits hard. Dodge at the last moment to trigger a Flurry Rush, or keep your distance and pick your openings. You only need to get past it and reach the marker.

Link runs at a Stone Talus, its name bar showing above the Defeat the Stone Taluses objective

Stone Talus boss fight

At the targeted position you are asked to defeat the Stone Taluses, and the battle ends only when both are down. Do not lock on: two huge enemies in a small area make the camera swing and hide the attacks you need to dodge. Keep one Talus in front of you and watch the other.

Stone Taluses stand among rock formations with the Defeat the Stone Taluses counter at 0 of 2

Use Remote Bombs repeatedly. A blast destroys a Talus’s arm and interrupts its attacks, and it can knock the Talus down so you can hit the ore deposits and drain its weak-point gauge quickly. One of their attacks shows a rune prompt that calls for the Remote Bomb rune, so use it when you see it. You are invulnerable while a rune is active, so you can also use runes to dodge.

When a Talus’s weak-point gauge breaks, rush in and finish it with a Weak-Point Smash. Repeat on the second Talus and the battle ends with a victory screen.

The Road Home, Besieged Korok Seeds

Korok Seed

Korok next to the skull fort

On the road past the skull-topped watchtower, a Korok waits in the grass beside a wooden fence and a rock outcrop. Stop there and press Y at the ??? prompt to make it appear.

Korok Seed

Korok behind the rocks

On the plain past the wooden gate, aim a Remote Bomb at the pile of rocks beside the road and detonate it. The blast opens the rocks, and a Korok sits on the dirt behind them.

Korok Seed

Korok near the Taluses

The third Korok is to the left of the final area where you fight the Stone Taluses. Collect it before you start the fight. See the full list on the Korok Seed locations page.
