Walkthrough

Meet Domidak and Prissen

Walk to the cave on the west shore of Lake Cephla. The treasure-hunting brothers stand outside it, puzzled by the number of chests inside. The dog by their tent is the key to finding the right one.

Feed the dog

A Hylian retriever waits by the tent. Open your inventory, hold a food item and drop it in front of it. Apples are easiest, since two sit on a crate by the tent, and you need about four food items in all; you can drop them together. Once it has eaten the last one it heads into the cave.

Follow the dog to the right chest

Follow the dog through the cave. Many chests are half-buried in the floor; grab buried ones with Ultrahand to pull them free if you want their contents. The dog lies down next to the real treasure chest, so open that one for the Ember Trousers and a bottle holding Misko’s letter. The brothers then find only an ordinary bottle in the chest; examining it starts the follow-up quest.

Rewards

You get the Ember Trousers and Misko’s letter, which starts Misko’s Treasure: The Fierce Deity. After the quest, Domidak and Prissen sell you three more manuscripts for 100 rupees each: the Twins, Pirate and Heroines manuscripts.

Tips

  • Every wrong chest holds just 1 rupee, so opening them is optional.
