Ocarina of Time Remake has eight places that sell you things, plus three that deal in masks, bottled goods and Big Poes. The shelves are small: a Recovery Heart, a few supplies and one big-ticket item. The prices below are the ones the game shows on each item card. Stock changes with the story. The Kokiri Shop restocks after the Great Deku Tree, the Goron Shop sells bombs only after Dodongo Cavern, and the Potion Shop needs you to own an empty bottle.

Kokiri Shop

The Kokiri Shop sells things you can find in the forest. At the start the stock is low: the owner says the shop is still waiting for Mido to stop blocking the road, and the only thing you need is the Deku Shield for 40 rupees. The Kokiri Forest walkthrough covers it in the first chapter, and the rupees from the chests in Mido’s house pay for it. If you lose the shield outside the forest, buy another here.

After the Great Deku Tree, the owner tells you to stock up and prepare, and says the shop now has everything in stock.

Goron Shop

The shop is in Goron City, a short walk from the giant pot. While Dodongo Cavern is blocked, the shopkeeper says the door was shut because he has to keep every bomb he has. The shelves still show the Recovery Heart for 5 rupees, the Goron Tunic for 600, Five Bombs for 25 and a 20-pack of Bombs for 80. The tunic is adult sized and protects against heat, so you cannot use it yet. The Bombs need a Bomb Bag.

Once the cavern is open, the shopkeeper greets you with “Hello, hello, and good timing!” and sells bombs again. Choose an item and he asks whether you are interested, then names the price.

Medigoron Masterworks

Past the Goron shop, beyond the mesh gate in the tunnels, a giant Goron called Medigoron sells one thing. He says this is Medigoron Masterworks and asks whether you want to buy. Say yes and you pay 200 rupees for the Giant’s Knife, a two-handed sword you cannot use with a shield. It starts the trading chain described in the Biggoron Sword route.
