Quest typeSide quest
GiverSesami
Starts inToronbo Beach, north-west Eventide Island (Necluda Sea, south-east of Hyrule)
RequirementsNone; a way across the sea (a boat, raft or glider from the coast). Arrows, ideally bomb arrows, help a lot
RewardBlue-Maned Lynel Saber Horn; clearing the cave also opens the way to Marari-in Shrine (Silver Rupee, Topaz and Ruby chests)

Sesami, a scout of the monster-control crew, is camped on Eventide Island and needs the island’s three monster strongholds cleared before he can look for the pirates. Clear them, destroy the pirate monsters in their sea-cave hideout at the back of the island, then talk to Sesami for a Blue-Maned Lynel Saber Horn.

Walkthrough

Talk to Sesami

Reach Eventide Island and speak to Sesami at his camp on the beach in the north-west of the island, next to a campfire and tent. He is on a mission to find the pirates’ hideout, but monsters hold three strongholds on the island, so he asks you to clear them out first.

Clear the three monster strongholds

Destroy the monsters in all three camps, in any order: Toronbo Beach North, Toronbo Beach South and Koholit Rock. Each is a wooden platform fort with Bokoblins, archers and a leader. One of them has a chest with bomb arrows on its top level, and the hill stronghold is the hardest, with a Black Bokoblin and a Black Moblin and a spiked-ball trap rolled down the slope. Beating every enemy in a camp counts it as cleared, and your log counts off one, two, then all three strongholds. Then return to Sesami, who tells you he saw a pirate ship sail around the back of the island and vanish, which points to a hidden cave.

Wipe out the Pirate Hideout

Go around to the back (south-east) of the island and enter the cave from the water, where a pirate ship is moored. The cave opening appears only after you report back to Sesami. Eight enemies are inside: Blue and Black Bokoblins, a Black Boss Bokoblin at the centre of the ship, and archers on the docks and in the crow’s nest (one fires electric arrows). Bomb arrows on the ship’s centre are the quickest way to thin them out. Destroy every monster aboard and around the ship. The cave also holds a Bubbulfrog (for a Bubbul Gem) in a small water-filled side tunnel at the back, and leads on to Marari-in Shrine, whose barred entrance opens once the pirates are gone; build a bridge from the wooden boards to reach its gate.

Collect your reward

Speak to Sesami again at his camp. As a thank-you he hands over a Blue-Maned Lynel Saber Horn, a rare monster part that adds strong attack power when fused to a weapon.

Rewards

You receive a Blue-Maned Lynel Saber Horn. The cave beside the hideout also gives access to Marari-in Shrine; chests near the shrine hold a Silver Rupee (100 rupees) and a Topaz, and the shrine’s own chest holds a Ruby.

Tips

  • Shoot archers from range before storming a platform.
  • Do the strongholds and the hideout in one go, then report once: the quest only needs Sesami at the start and at the end.
