Karson cannot work out how to fit the last roof plank on the new stable at Lookout Landing. Pick up the plank next to him with Ultrahand and place it over the gap in the roof.

Walkthrough
Talk to Karson and Lester
Head to the half-built stable at the south end of Lookout Landing; either Karson or Lester starts the quest. Lester, the horse guard, says he cannot board horses until it is ready. Karson is stuck on the one remaining roof plank and has one spot left to finish.
Place the plank with Ultrahand
Select Ultrahand, grab the L-shaped plank lying on the ground just to the left of Karson and lift it to the gap in the roof. Climb the hay bales behind the stable to see the roof better. Rotate it until it sits in the slot and release it.
Report to Lester
Karson finishes the stable on his own. Talk to Lester afterwards and you can board horses at Lookout Landing.
Rewards
The stable at Lookout Landing opens for boarding horses, and Lester starts a follow-up quest, Spotting Spot, about his runaway horse. Finishing this quest also makes Karson free to help with The Rito Rope Bridge.
Tips
- The plank snaps into place when aligned; you can climb on the stable’s roof to line it up.
- If Karson does not seem to offer the quest, make sure the Regional Phenomena main quest has begun and talk to Lester as well.
