Kikakin Shrine (Shining in Darkness)

Kikakin Shrine is a pitch-dark maze of laser traps and moving spiked walls. Bring a light source (a Brightbloom Seed fused to a weapon or a Zonai light), find the Small Key under a floor tile and use it on the exit door.

How to find Kikakin Shrine

Launch from Thyphlo Ruins Skyview Tower and glide southwest toward Mount Drena; the shrine sits on a smaller peak on its eastern flank. Step onto the blue platform to enter.

Kikakin Shrine solution

Light the maze

Inside the shrine, take the Zonai light from the floor or fuse a Brightbloom Seed to your weapon or shield; without light you cannot see the walls or lasers. Brightbloom Seeds keep your hands free and light the maze well; bring a few. The Skyview Tower at Thyphlo Ruins is the nearest launch point.

Cross the laser rooms and spiked walls

Follow the only open path opposite the exit door. A side corridor on the right has a box in the wall: pull it out with Ultrahand to reach a chest holding Amber. Turn right at the spiked wall to the laser room for a chest with an Opal, slipping past the beams. Time your crossing of the sliding spiked walls.

Ascend to the Zonaite Bow

Just past the paired moving walls, look up at the opening in the roof and use Ascend to reach a small room with a chest holding a Zonaite Bow.

Slide the tile for the Small Key

Go back down and past the last spiked wall to the lit dead end. Lift or slide the middle floor tile with Ultrahand to uncover a chest with the Small Key.

Find the Luminous Stone

Return and take the two left turns to a chest containing a Luminous Stone.

Unlock the exit

Go back to the entrance, unlock the door with the Small Key, and examine the altar for the Light of Blessing.

The Lightroot below

Directly under this shrine, in the Depths, is the Nikakik Lightroot. Light it from below to reveal that part of the Depths map.
