The Never-Ending Lecture

Quest typeSide quest
GiverChroma (with Khira)
Starts inZora’s Domain, throne room
RequirementsZora’s Domain story finished (Sidon of the Zora)
RewardZora Helm

The Never-Ending Lecture sends you after the Zora Helm, which is hidden inside Floating Scales Island, the fish-shaped sky island above Zora’s Domain. Reach the island, find the hidden cave in its side and open the chest; the quest completes as soon as you have the helm, with no need to report back.

How to start The Never-Ending Lecture

Go to the throne room in Zora’s Domain after the domain’s trouble has ended. Chroma and Khira stand to one side talking with each other. They want to thank you with the Zora Helm, and their only clue is that it is kept in the “sky fish”.

The Never-Ending Lecture walkthrough

Listen to Chroma and Khira in the throne room

Talk to Chroma and Khira beside the throne in Zora’s Domain. The quest starts as soon as they finish describing the clue.

Fly to Floating Scales Island and open the chest

Floating Scales Island is the fish-shaped island in the sky above Mipha’s Court, at about (4135, 511, 592). The easiest way up is to fast travel to Ihen-a Shrine near Mipha’s Court, glide into the waterfall beside it and swim up it in the Zora Armor, which carries you to the island (Igoshon Shrine on Wellspring Island is another nearby warp point). A Zonai hot-air balloon built on the high ground near Mipha’s Court also works. On the island go to the fish’s tail and look over the east side (some guides say the north side, where the body joins the tail) for a cave opening in the rock. Glide down to it, follow the short linear passage and open the chest for the Zora Helm. Taking it completes the quest.

Rewards

  • Zora Helm, the headpiece of the Zora Armor set; wearing the set lets you swim up waterfalls.

Tips

You need the Zora Armor to swim up the waterfall, so finish the Zora story first. If sludge or a closed entrance blocks the cave, clear it with water before looking for the chest.
