Guardian Stalker

The Guardian Stalker is the six-legged ancient war machine that roams Hyrule Field. It has 1,500 health and fires a charged laser once it locks on. The fastest way to deal with it is an Ancient Arrow into its eye; the safest all-round answer is to reflect its beam with a well-timed shield parry.

Where to find it

Stalkers patrol Hyrule Field, and the game also uses recolored versions with moss, snow or sand on them. Every version carries the same 1,500 health.

How to beat it

Stun it

Hit the glowing eye with any arrow. The head spins as it tries to shake the hit off, which gives you a few seconds to move or attack.

Finish it

A bullseye with an Ancient Arrow destroys it outright. Without one, use powerful or Ancient weapons on the body while it is stunned, and fall back before the head turns back to you.

Reflect the beam

When it locks on and begins to charge, raise your shield and parry just as the beam arrives. The beam returns for heavy damage.

Slow it down

Hack its legs off one after another while it is stunned. A Stalker with no legs cannot chase you, and the Master Sword glows with extra power near Guardians, so it cuts them down quickly.
