The painting

Look at the picture

Speak to Mayro in Foothill Stable, south of the entrance to Death Mountain. The painting, made by the stable owner Ozunda, shows a shrine on the left, Death Mountain’s peak on the right, and the stable roof at lower right.

Finding the spot

Head south

Walk south from the stable along the ridge above Trilby Valley, keeping near the Ternio Trail until the fork. A skull cave with Bokoblins sits to the west of the road.

Line up the view

Drop to the small ridge opposite the skull and look across the valley for a small rock arch at the base of Death Mountain. Move south-west, keeping the mountain and stable tip on the right, until the shrine shows through the gap under the arch. A ring of birds circling marks it too.

Activate the shrine

Walk to the shrine and activate it to complete the quest.

Chests and rewards

  • Tah Muhl Shrine (Passing the Flame): a Spirit Orb from the monk.
  • Tah Muhl Shrine chests: Cobble Crusher, Opal, Ruby and a Small Key.
