How to start
Speak to Damia in Korok Forest. Make sure you have a free slot for a weapon, a shield and a bow, because he hands you all three Forest Dweller pieces. Your first run is the quest itself. You can later repeat it as a timed run for a 20 Rupee deposit.
Solution
Cross the forest stretch
Follow the path and stay inside the fences; do not climb over them or wander into the mist. Chuchus, Keese, Octoroks and Stal Bokoblins guard the route. Shoot anything burning, frozen or electrified from range, and use the sword carefully on the rest. The borrowed gear cannot be broken by normal use, but fire and electricity can still cost you items.

Clear the stack of boxes
A stack of boxes blocks the path. Blow it apart with a bomb and continue to the left.

Get through the swamps
The swamp sections are the hardest part. Cryonis lets you make ice blocks to stand on, and a fire-made updraft lets you glide across. Pick off archers from a distance with headshots, and avoid electric monsters entirely: a shock makes you drop your equipment and ends the attempt.

Where there are logs you can balance along them, or climb trees to stay clear of the monsters below.

Reach the shrine
After the second swamp you arrive at Maag Halan Shrine, which is now revealed. Damia calls out that you have made it, and the shrine is now open to you.

Chests and rewards
- Spirit Orb for completing the shrine.
- Silver Rupee (100) for reaching the shrine in under 5:00 on a repeat attempt.
- Giant Ancient Core: chest in the shrine.
