Trial on the Cliff

A voice offers a blessing to anyone who crosses North Lomei Labyrinth. Pools of Malice block the direct route to the central shrine, so reach the giant Malice eye, shoot it, and then take the hidden tunnels to the centre.

GiverA voice at the entrance of North Lomei Labyrinth
Starts inNorth Lomei Labyrinth, northeast of the North Tabantha Snowfield (map square E-1)
RequirementCold resistance, a bow and arrows
RewardReveals Qaza Tokki Shrine (Qaza Tokki’s Blessing), a Spirit Orb; chest: Barbarian Leg Wraps

Entering the maze

Take the quest

Enter North Lomei Labyrinth (map position x -825, z -3412). A voice greets you as you step inside and the quest begins. The shrine can be seen at the centre behind a closed gate. It is bitterly cold, so wear the Snowquill set or other cold-resistant gear.

Destroying the Malice

Find the eye

Malice covers the paths on the left, so go right at the shrine and work your way around the outside of the maze, winding south and then east and north, taking out Lizalfos as you go. With enough stamina you can shortcut by climbing the walls and gliding across.

Shoot it

Circle the maze until the Malice eye comes into view near the centre and hit it with an arrow. Destroying it clears the blocked passages.

Reaching the shrine

Take the new tunnel

Return to the north central area with the stairs and torches, head through the small tunnel to the south and turn left into the tunnel that the Malice used to cover. Follow it east past a branch to the right until two torches mark a ladder to an upper platform.

Enter the shrine

Follow the upper path to a low staircase through a tunnel into the central chamber. Qaza Tokki Shrine (map position x -821, z -3535, height 354) is yours to open.

Chests and rewards

  • Barbarian Leg Wraps from the chest at the shrine.
  • Qaza Tokki’s Spirit Orb.
  • Further chests in the maze, reported to hold gems, rupees and arrows, with a diamond in a chest on the roof.
