Shai Utoh Shrine (Halt the Tilt)

Shai Utoh is built from seesaws. Stasis freezes a platform in place so you can climb it, and the first chest (a Traveler’s Sword), moved with Magnesis, serves as a counterweight on the last seesaw.

How to find it

Go behind Lakeside Stable to the base of Ubota Point. A cracked rock wall hides the cave entrance; blow it open with a bomb.

Solution

Freeze the first platform

Use Stasis on the tilting platform so it cannot drop as you climb, then head up to the next area.

Take the chest

The next platform is arranged the same way. Freeze it, run up and open the chest at the top. Then return to the platform and step on it to counter the weight, freeze it again and continue.

Use the chest as a counterweight

At the back of this area is a platform on your level and another balanced above it. Pull the opened chest across with Magnesis and set it on the upper platform just before the stairs to the monk. Step on the lower platform to change its direction, freeze it and climb to the upper platform. Jump across; the chest keeps the seesaw from throwing you off.

Find the hidden chest

A second chest holding an Ancient Core is reached by launching from the second-to-last platform and gliding down to it. A shield jump can get you past the seesaw without Stasis, but then this chest is out of reach.

Collect the Spirit Orb

Speak to the monk Shai Utoh at the top.

Chests and rewards

  • Traveler’s Sword: metal chest at the top of the second platform, which Magnesis can move.
  • Ancient Core: hidden chest reached by gliding from the second-to-last platform.
  • Spirit Orb: from the monk Shai Utoh at the end.
