Shai Yota Shrine (Shai Yota’s Blessing)

Shai Yota is a blessing shrine with no puzzle inside; the work is making it appear. Speak to Kass at Horon Lagoon, bomb the loose rocks that block the wind over the water, then glide on the strengthened wind to a platform in the middle of the lagoon. The shrine rises there, with a Great Flameblade waiting in its chest.

How to find it

Horon Lagoon lies on the Lanayru coast, north of Lanayru Bay and between Brynna Plain and Talus Plateau. The Rito minstrel Kass plays his accordion on the shore. Listening to him starts the Master of the Wind shrine quest, and his song points to the wind blowing across the lagoon. Bring bombs, a Paraglider and the Cryonis rune.

Solution

Clear the rocks from the wind

Glide away from Kass on the wind and you will land close to a breakable rock. Bomb it. Use the Paraglider and Cryonis ice blocks to move between the rocks while watching which way the wind blows, and blow up each remaining boulder in the area so the airflow opens up.

Climb the central rocks

Once the boulders are gone, climb to the highest point of the rocks in the centre of the lagoon.

Glide to the platform

Jump off toward the shrine platform with the Paraglider open. The cleared wind is strong enough to carry you the whole way. Keep the glider out until you touch down, since landing on the platform is what raises the shrine.

Collect the reward

Walk into the shrine, open the chest for the Great Flameblade, then speak to Monk Shai Yota for a Spirit Orb.

Chests and rewards

  • Great Flameblade: in the chest on the way to the monk.
  • Spirit Orb: from Monk Shai Yota.
