Yah Rin Shrine (A Weighty Decision)

Yah Rin is a set of scales. Use one metal block with Magnesis to tip them, defeat the Guardian Scout, use the block as a step to a chest, and repeat on the left and right scale sets to climb to the monk.

How to find it

Head to the hill just north of Lurelin Village on the Faron coast. You can walk straight up to the shrine.

Solution

Tip the first scale

Stand on the left platform and use Magnesis to move the metal block to the opposite platform. You rise up. Take the block with you.

Defeat the Guardian Scout

A damaged Guardian Scout waits ahead. Strike it, shoot its eye, or stay on the high platform and throw bombs.

Chest and floor switch

The chest behind the fence holds the Knight’s Broadsword. The block works as a stepping stone to reach it, and the chest itself is metal, so Magnesis can lift it out too. Then lift the block over the lower fence to the floor switch to open the door.

The two scale sets

Push the left platforms down with the block, use it as a step to the second platform, then place it on the other side to rise to the chest. Do the same on the right side. You do not need the block once you are up there.

Chests and rewards

  • Knight’s Broadsword: in the metal chest behind the fence, past the Guardian Scout.
  • Opal: in the chest reached by climbing the scale platforms.
  • Spirit Orb: from the monk Yah Rin.
