Condé wants to repeat Big Brother’s old weather magic: carry a glittering snowball to a pedestal so Hebra Mountain turns sunny. The trick is that the snowball breaks easily. Bind it so it follows you, keep it away from obstacles, and use Cloud echoes to float it over the gaps to the pedestal. It’s a short puzzle that pays one of Hebra Mountain’s four Pieces of Heart.
How to Start
Warp to Hebra Mountain and walk into Condé’s House, the igloo. Condé stands by the rug with a “What to do…” bubble. Talk to him: “Zelda! Tri! You came to play with Condé!” He remembered something after you talked about Big Brother the other day: a long time ago, Big Brother did some magic that changed the weather for a day. The magic made it sunny so he could fly off safely in his hot-air balloon.

Walkthrough
Step 1: Hear how the magic works
Big Brother would have an easier time coming home if Hebra Mountain were sunny again, so Condé plans to do the same magic. You need to bring a snowball that glitters like the sun to a specific spot on Hebra Mountain. “You have to carry the snowball carefully so it doesn’t break. It has to be perfectly round.” Condé breaks it every single time, so he asks, “Zelda, could you show Condé how to do this snowball magic right?”

Step 2: Go to the special spot
The screen fades and Condé brings you to his “special spot”, a set of snowy cliff ledges. The glittering snowballs he told you about are rolling around in this area. “Zelda, Condé needs you to carry a snowball to the pedestal in the northwest.” The magic works if you place the snowball on top of the pedestal. Condé has messed up lots of times, but maybe you’ll figure it out. The side quest Snowball Magic begins.

Step 3: Bind a glittering snowball
Big, pale glittering snowballs keep rolling along the ledge in front of Condé. Don’t confuse them with the plain grey snowballs. Use Bind on a glittering one; with the Release/Follow prompts on screen it floats after you, so you never have to push it. It is fragile, though, and can crack apart on the way. That’s no problem: go back to the ledge, wait for the next glittering snowball to roll by and Bind that one.

Step 4: Avoid the crystal field
Leading the snowball on foot across the open snowfield full of ice crystals is risky. You have to steer it between the crystals while grey snowballs roll across the slope, and it’s easy to lose it there. If it breaks, you’re back at the starting ledge for a new one.

Step 5: Float it across on Clouds
The way that works is through the air. From the edge near the starting ledge, summon a row of Cloud echoes across the gap and lead the bound snowball over them; it floats over them while you walk alongside. On the far side, follow a narrow snowy ledge, then lay more Clouds to cross the last gap onto the pedestal’s cliff top, which is ringed by ice crystals.

Step 6: Set it on the pedestal
Lead the snowball over the round pedestal between the two tall ice crystals and release it on top. Condé hurries over: “That was amazing, Zelda! The magic worked!” Now that you’ve done it, he thinks he can probably do it right too.

Reward
“Thank you! Condé wants you to have this reward!” You get “You got a piece of heart! Collect four and your maximum number of hearts will increase.” Condé explains that he used to play here with Big Brother and the view is great for watching the weather. He’d forgotten about the magic for a while, but now he’ll do it for Big Brother every day. The Side Quest Complete banner appears. It is the fourth of Hebra Mountain’s four Pieces of Heart; see Heart Pieces for the rest.

Tips
- Learn the Cloud echo first. It comes from the Stilled Hebra Mountain rift on the way up the mountain, and it’s what makes this quest easy.
- Don’t fight the snowball once it cracks. Fresh glittering snowballs keep rolling past the starting ledge, so a new attempt only takes a few seconds.
