How to find it

The cave sits at the end of the Akkala Bridge Ruins, west of Domizuin Shrine and below the Akkala Citadel Ruins, at map coordinates 3243, 1456. It has a single entrance. Look for the cave mouth at that spot; a Blupee or a ring of light often marks them.

Inside the cave

Enter and light the dark cavern

Walk into the cave mouth in the rocks beside the citadel ruins. The cavern is pitch dark, so throw Brightbloom Seeds ahead of you to see the ledges, and keep a bow handy for what is waiting. The passage soon splits, but both sides lead to the same den. The upper-left side tunnel is guarded by a pair of Fire Chuchu, and it lets you surprise the Horriblin camp in the next room.

Clear the Horriblin scaffolds

The cave is built around wooden scaffolds and ladders where Horriblins keep watch. Shoot the lookouts from the ground first, then climb the ladders one tower at a time. Elemental weapons help a lot here: fire, ice or electric hits stun-lock the stronger Horriblins. Ascend makes the climb through the den much easier.

Open the two chests

The first chest appears once you have cleared the den’s enemies and holds a Guard’s-Sword Stick (a Royal Guard’s Sword fused to a Sturdy Long Stick (or Long Stick or Gnarled Long Stick, depending on your progress)). Go up through the ceiling above it with Ascend to reach the upper platform, where the second chest, on the central high platform, holds a Soldier’s-Broadsword Halberd (a Soldier’s-Broadsword fused to a spear; it scales up with your progress).

Defeat the Bubbulfrog

From the central high platform, look southeast for a section of wall made of breakable rocks near the top of the den. Break through it to reach a small hidden cavern where the Bubbulfrog lurks. Hit it with an arrow or a thrown weapon to collect the Bubbul Gem. Using Ascend from the high platform or from the Bubbulfrog’s cavern carries you up to a ruined building on top of Akkala Citadel Ruins, where Domizuin Shrine sits.
