How to find it

The entrance is at map coordinates 4213, -2262, near Deepback Bay. Look for the cave mouth at that spot; a Blupee or a ring of light often marks them.

Inside the cave

Enter the cave and pass the Horriblin camp

Walk into the cave mouth on the sandy beach of Deepback Bay and follow the dark passage inward. A small Horriblin camp sits on the first ledge; defeat the Horriblins and drop down the slope beyond it. The cave is very dark, so keep a Brightbloom Seed or two handy.

Open the chest for a Shield of the Mind’s Eye

On the rubble slope past the camp, a treasure chest holds a Shield of the Mind’s Eye. Loot it before you head further in.

Shoot the Bubbulfrog

Keep following the cavern floor past the dark pool. The Bubbulfrog is not in the open chamber: it sits in a narrow passageway tucked behind the entrance of Anedamimik Shrine, which you can only reach after you have drained the flooded pit (see “Draining the shrine pit” below). Shoot it with an arrow to bring it down and receive a Bubbul Gem.

Find Anedamimik Shrine

Anedamimik Shrine (A Retraced Path) sits in the middle of a flooded depression inside the cave, and you cannot reach it until the water is drained. Inside, the shrine chest holds a Large Zonai Charge, and the Light of Blessing waits at the terminal at the end.

Draining the shrine pit

Anedamimik Shrine is surrounded by water when you first arrive. Enter the cave, defeat the pair of Black Horriblins near the entrance (hit them from range, for example with arrows fused to Bomb Flowers), then walk to the left-hand opening and jump down, gliding to the lower cavern. A Like Like waits down here, so deal with it first. Near the ceiling at the bottom is a weak rock formation: blow it up with a Bomb Flower (a single Bomb Flower and a bundle of five arrows lie in this lower cavern; fuse the flower to an arrow to hit the rubble from a distance). The blast drains the water from above. Use Ascend near the opening you dropped from to get back up, walk down into the drained depression and the shrine entrance is revealed. The passageway behind the shrine entrance holds the Bubbulfrog.
