East Gerudo Ruins Cave

East Gerudo Ruins Cave lies under the sand beside the East Gerudo Ruins and is entered through a quicksand sinkhole. Inside you cross a wide sandy hall with a Zonai fan vehicle, open chests holding a Radiant Shield and Topaz, and knock down a Bubbulfrog for its Bubbul Gem. Trade the gems to Koltin in The Hunt for Bubbul Gems!

How to find it

The entrance is at map coordinates -2696, -2808, in the sand next to East Gerudo Ruins. Look for the swirling quicksand sinkhole between the ruined pillars and let it carry you down.

Inside the cave

Ride the sinkhole down

Walk or glide onto the quicksand vortex and let it pull you under. You land in a dark cave, so have Brightbloom Seeds ready.

Build a fan vehicle to cross the hall

Use Ultrahand to attach two Zonai Fans to a board or Zonai Cart and ride it across the wide sandy floor to the ledges on the far side.

Open the chests

One chest holds a Radiant Shield. A Zonaite Shield (Strong or Mighty, depending on your progress) lies on the floor beside the ruined wall, and another chest holds a Topaz.

Take the Bubbul Gem

Near the far end, the Bubbulfrog hangs in a cleft above a sand slope. Blast or shoot it down and take the Bubbul Gem.

Several Heroine statues lie half-sunk in the sand here. Keep to the walls where you can, because the quicksand drains your stamina fast. There is no Korok seed inside.
