East Restaurant Cave

East Restaurant Cave is a hot mine cave in Eldin Canyon, north-east of Bedrock Bistro and north of Goronbi Lake. A minecart track leads in, and hidden rubble chambers hold two chests and a Bubbulfrog that drops a Bubbul Gem. Trade the gems to Koltin in The Hunt for Bubbul Gems!

How to find it

The entrance is at map coordinates 1853, 1719, north-east of Timawak Shrine; a minecart track leads into it. Inside is scorching, so wear at least one piece of Flame Guard gear or eat a fireproof meal. Brightbloom Seeds and ore deposits sit at the entrance.

Inside the cave

Cross the lava pool

Use Ultrahand to build a minecart from a cart and a fan, set it on the track and ride it into the cave. Look at either side of the track for rubble in the walls; each rubble wall hides a chamber. Do not use Bomb Flowers or other explosives on these walls: guides warn they detonate in the cave air. Use a non-explosive option such as a Like Like Stone fused to a weapon, or a hammer.

Open the Rocket chest

An upturned cart sits almost directly opposite the rubble. Move it with Ultrahand to reveal a hidden chamber with a few Fans and a chest holding a Rocket, a Zonai device you can attach to carts and boards. Some guides say you can instead crouch through a small hole beside the cart.

Defeat the Bubbulfrog

Break the rubble wall beside the Rocket chest to reveal a final cramped chamber. The Bubbulfrog is on the wall; shoot it down with a bow or a thrown weapon, defeat it and pick up the Bubbul Gem it drops.

Open the Ruby chest

The other chest sits in a rubble chamber beside the track, on the opposite side from the upturned cart (one guide places it at the end of the rail, on the right). It holds a Ruby.
