Gorko Tunnel

Gorko Tunnel is a cave in Eldin Canyon, south-west of Gorko Lake and south-east of Goron City. It hides the Simmerstone Springs hot spring, an Ancient Blade chest and a Bubbulfrog that drops a Bubbul Gem. Trade the gems to Koltin in The Hunt for Bubbul Gems!

How to find it

The entrance is at map coordinates 2015, 2038, a short walk from Timawak Shrine; you can also glide in from Eldin Canyon Skyview Tower. A Fire Chuchu and Aerocuda guard the mouth of the cave. A Cooking Pot at the entrance lets you cook a Fireproof Elixir if you are short on heat protection. Kima in Goron City sends you here for Simmerstone Springs. Bring a few spare hammers: the rubble inside breaks weapons.

Inside the cave

Enter the tunnel

Inside the first chamber you find ore deposits, Brightbloom Seeds and rubble that must be smashed to go deeper. Take the Brightbloom Seeds to light the passage.

Open the Ancient Blade chest

Past the first boulders, lava blocks the way ahead; climb the walls around it, blasting more rubble to the left if needed. The chest in the eastern chamber holds an Ancient Blade, along with a Luminous Stone and more Brightbloom Seeds.

Dig through to Simmerstone Springs

In the north chamber, a rock wall blocks the way to the hidden hot spring. Break it with a rock weapon or let Yunobo charge through it to reveal Simmerstone Springs for Kima’s quest.

Step into the spring pool beyond the broken wall to finish the quest. Kima announces the spring, hands over a Silver Rupee and then starts dropping eggs into the water, giving you Hard-boiled Eggs.

Defeat the Bubbulfrog

Steam hangs over the spring chamber, so look carefully along the back wall on the eastern side; approaching it clears enough steam to reveal a semi-hidden opening. Step through to find the Bubbulfrog on the wall. It may not move at first; shoot it down and defeat it to collect a Bubbul Gem.
