How to find it

There are two entrances. The first, at 3073, -1137, is under the bridge to the Lanayru Road East Gate: drop into the water below the gate from Lanayru Promenade (glide from Mount Lanayru Skyview Tower), swim a short way (there are rocks to rest on) and enter the opening. The second, at 3476, -968, is on the shore just south of Lanayru Bay; a passage in the cave’s north-east links the two.

Inside the cave

Climb down and cross the water

Enter at 3073, -1137 and follow the dark shoreline into a large cavern with an island in the middle. Chuchus, Water Octoroks, a Rock Like and Horriblins live here, and a group of Black Bokoblins led by a Black Boss Bokoblin roams the main cavern. Brightbloom Seeds, Amber, Flint, Rock Salt, Bomb Flowers, Luminous Stone and gems (Sapphire, Topaz, Ruby) can be picked up along the route.

Light Jogou Shrine

Jogou Shrine sits in the large circular room of the cave. Its opening is visible but the walls are slippery: wear climbing-friendly gear or drink a Slip-Resistant elixir, or break the boulders on the south side of the room with a Bomb Flower to walk in. Its chest holds a Hearty Elixir.

Defeat the Bubbulfrog and open the last chest

Circle the edge of the island cavern until you find a small hole containing a Silent Shroom (the room is in the south-east). Enter and shoot the Bubbulfrog inside (about 3447, -1211) for the Bubbul Gem; keep the Bokoblins off your back first. The cave’s other chest sits on a higher ledge near a Horriblin and holds a Knight’s-Claymore Spear (it scales up to a Knight’s-Claymore Halberd as you progress).
