How to find it

The entrance is at map coordinates 4585, -2246, near Mapla Point. Look for the cave mouth at that spot; a Blupee or a ring of light often marks them.

Inside the cave

Swim into the cave

The entrance sits at water level at Mapla Point, so approach by raft, boat or by swimming along the shore. A current flows out of the cave toward the east before curving south, so approach against it or fly a Zonai device over the flow. Climb out onto the sandy bank just inside; the cave is dark, so pick up the Brightbloom Seeds lying around the first ledge.

Talk to Chumin

A Chumin stands on the first beach waiting for help. Speak to him to start and finish the side quest A Bottled Cry for Help; he thanks you with a Silver Rupee (worth 100 rupees).

Open the Purple Rupee chest

Follow the bank deeper in and look down into a small pit among the rocks. The chest at the bottom holds a Purple Rupee.

Shoot the Bubbulfrog

The Bubbulfrog hides in the upper chamber: from the first chamber look north for an opening in the ceiling, then climb up or use Ascend to reach it. Shoot it with an arrow to collect the Bubbul Gem.

Inside the cave: what to know

The first chamber has ore and Rare Ore deposits, Brightbloom Seeds, the occasional Hearty Truffle and Sticky Lizards on the ceilings. The upper chamber (the Bubbulfrog’s) has more Brightbloom Seeds and ore to smash. To reach the Chumin chamber, find the passage to the west blocked by a boulder and lift it away with Ultrahand; Chumin sits behind it at the south-east edge of the pool, next to a burned-out campfire. The quest itself begins with a message in a bottle at the shipwreck at the western tip of Hateno Bay, and following the Brightbloom Seeds floating in the water leads you to the cave.
