How to find it

The entrance is at map coordinates -3881, -726, near Gerudo Summit. Look for the cave mouth at that spot; a Blupee or a ring of light often marks them.

Inside the cave

Fly up to the cliff hole

The entrance is a round hole in the mountainside at (-3881, -726, 569), too high to climb to easily. Build a Zonai fan vehicle with Ultrahand and fly up to the opening.

Cross the lava to the chest

Inside, the chamber floor is covered by lava. Cross it with a fan vehicle, a few balloons or Zonai devices, then open the chest on the stone block for Large Zonaite.

Shoot the Bubbulfrog and leave

The Bubbulfrog is in the chamber past the lava. Shoot it for the Bubbul Gem. To leave, Ascend through the ceiling or fly the fan vehicle up through the hole above the lava.

Cave facts

EntranceOne entrance, a circular opening marked with yellow lightning symbols in the cliff east of Gerudo Summit; glide in from the Gerudo Highlands Skyview Tower, or use the updrafts below it
ChestLarge Zonaite, behind a gate opened by striking the central lightning symbol
BubbulfrogIn the chamber to your left just inside the entrance, past a small dark hole; Brightbloom Seeds nearby help you see it
RequirementsParaglider, bow and arrows, cold protection, Brightbloom Seeds and Riju’s Vow (Sage of Lightning, from Regional Phenomena)

The chest sits behind a gate that opens only when lightning hits the symbol in the centre of the door. Plain arrows are not enough: summon Riju so your arrows are charged with lightning, then shoot the symbol to open the gate and take the Large Zonaite. The Bubbulfrog is a separate find and can be shot without the Sage. There are no Korok seeds in this cave.
