Oakle’s Navel Cave

How to find it

The entrance is at map coordinates 2504, -2106, near Oakle’s Navel. Look for the cave mouth at that spot; a Blupee or a ring of light often marks them.

Inside the cave

Enter the cave and open the first chest

Walk into the cavern on the shore of Oakle’s Navel and follow the passage inward, using Brightbloom Seeds where the cave is dark. A chest near the start holds a Shield of the Mind’s Eye. A Shock Like hangs near the entrance; you can fight it or simply run past.

Pick up the shrine crystal

Further in, a green crystal rests on a stone stand between two lit posts. Use Ultrahand to lift it, which starts the shrine quest The Oakle’s Navel Cave Crystal. A green beam shoots from the crystal across the cavern toward the shrine site, marking the route you must follow.

Carry the crystal along the beam

Carry the crystal along the beam with Ultrahand, or set it on a small cart of Wheels and a board and push it along. Boulders roll down the first cavern, so step aside or use Recall on any that come close.

Open the Eightfold Blade chest

In the large room where boulders roll in from both sides, a small opening on the left side leads up to a chest. Open it for an Eightfold Blade, dodging the boulders as you climb. Once you complete the shrine quest the boulders stop falling.

Place the crystal and enter Tokiy Shrine

Follow the beam to its end and set the crystal on the pedestal. Tokiy Shrine (Rauru’s Blessing) rises from the water; its chest holds a Large Zonai Charge, and the Light of Blessing waits at the terminal.

Shoot the Bubbulfrog

The Bubbulfrog is in the last part of the cave, by the shrine: follow the path down to the water where the boulder lands, and look for a small opening on the right. It leads to a room with the Bubbulfrog; shoot it with an arrow to bring it down and collect the Bubbul Gem.

Good to know

Launch from the Rabella Wetlands Skyview Tower and glide north to Oakle’s Navel; the cave mouth is at the water’s edge. If a big boulder rolls down the final narrow passage, drop the crystal and send the boulder back with Recall, or attach it to the crystal with Ultrahand and carry both. The cave also holds Bomb Flowers, Brightcaps and Sticky Lizards.
