How to find it

The entrances are at map coordinates 170, -1633 and 260, -1557, near Proxim Bridge. It is on a sky island, so glide or build your way up from the nearest Skyview Tower.

Inside the cave

Find the cave by the pond

Follow the yellow grass hillside toward the stone-ringed pond. The cave opens in the rock beside the water, so drop down from the cliff edge above the pond and step into the dark mouth.

Follow the tunnel

The cave is dark, so pick up the Brightbloom Seeds growing just inside and throw one ahead of you when the tunnel gets too dim. The passage is short and has Flint and a few materials on the floor before it opens into a cavern of tree roots.

Shoot the Bubbulfrog

The Bubbulfrog clings to the roots and logs at the back of the cave. Hit it with an arrow while it sits on the fallen log, then walk over and pick up the Bubbul Gem it leaves behind.

Defeat the Bubbulfrog first so it cannot harass you while you look for the Archaic Tunic (defense 1). It is a useful early armor piece, and it can be bought again at the Hateno Village armor shop if you miss it. The cave has two entrances and leads on toward Mining Cave.
