How to find it

The entrances are at map coordinates 3757, -2066 and 3748, -2026, near Hateno Ancient Tech Lab. Look for the cave mouth at that spot; a Blupee or a ring of light often marks them.

Inside the cave

Blast open the hillside entrance

The entrance is sealed by a pile of cracked boulders on the forest hillside. Break it open with a Bomb Flower or other explosive, then walk into the cave.

Catch the Bubbulfrog

Follow the passage past the Mayahisik Shrine entrance and into the cavern beyond. The Bubbulfrog bounces across the floor; hit it and take the Bubbul Gem.

Entrances, shrine and tips

  • Entrances: two, in the far west of Retsam Forest, northeast of Hateno Village. The northern one opens toward the forest and Lake Sumac; the other is blocked by boulders that you break with a Boulder fused to a weapon (or a Bomb Flower).
  • Route and Bubbulfrog: the Bubbulfrog sits at a dead end in a chamber east of the shrine; look up and hit it for the Bubbul Gem. Take the left path on the way back to reach the shrine.
  • Mayahisik Shrine: inside the cave. It is a shrine of light with no puzzle; the chest inside holds a Magic Scepter. Robbie’s Sensor upgrade (the Hateno Village Research Lab quest) points you to it.
  • Materials and enemies: Brightcaps, Brightbloom Seeds, a Hearty Truffle, ore deposits and Sticky Lizards; some guides mention Like Likes.
  • Korok seeds: none listed inside.
