How to find it
The entrances are at map coordinates 4505, 705 and 4272, 774, near Davdi Island. Look for the cave mouth at that spot; a Blupee or a ring of light often marks them.
Inside the cave
Swim into the grotto
The entrance is a cave mouth at the water’s edge on the lake side of the grotto. Swim in and fight the Bokoblins on the first shore.
Catch the Bubbulfrog
Follow the passage up to the open cavern, where the Bubbulfrog bounces over the glowing crystal. Hit it and pick up the Bubbul Gem.
Beat the Blue Hinox
The back cavern is guarded by a Blue Hinox. Stay moving, hit its eye when it opens, and use the crystals as cover.
Open the Royal Broadsword chest
A chest at the foot of the Hinox’s cavern holds a Royal Broadsword (or Traveler’s Sword, Soldier’s Broadsword or Knight’s Broadsword, depending on your progress).
Open the Amber chest
Take the passage toward the daylight at the far end for a last chest with Amber; the same passage leads out onto the cliffside.
Entrances, enemies and tips
- Entrances: two. One faces west toward Ulria Grotto, the other faces east toward the Lanayru Sea. From the west side you meet a pair of Blue Horriblins first.
- Route: the path branches. Heading left leads to a rubble-blocked passage; smash through it to reach the Bubbulfrog. Going straight leads to a large chamber with a Hinox (most guides call it a Black Hinox).
- Chests: in the Hinox chamber a wooden chest sits on the south ledge behind some barrels; guides list a Knight’s Broadsword there. The Royal Broadsword and Amber chests are described above. The cave also has Bomb Flowers and Luminous Stone deposits.
- Enemies: Blue Horriblins at the west entrance, a Hinox in the main chamber, a Like Like guarding the east exit; a Stone Talus is also listed for this cave.
- Korok seeds, shrine: none inside; the nearest shrine is Gatanisis Shrine. A chest floating in the pond of Ulria Grotto just outside holds a Zora Longsword.
