How to find it

The entrances are at map coordinates 4225, -1738 and 3933, -2069, near Walnot Canyon Mine. Look for the cave mouth at that spot; a Blupee or a ring of light often marks them.

Inside the cave

Drop into the cave on the slope

The entrance is a hole in the rock at the top of a grassy slope. Climb down and light the dark passage with Brightbloom Seeds.

Open the Amber and Giant Boomerang chests

A chest on the first ledge holds Amber, and you can mine the Amber deposits on the walls as you pass. Deeper in, beside the ice-pillar nook, a second chest holds a Giant Boomerang.

Catch the Bubbulfrog

On the steep slope in the middle of the cave, hit the glowing Bubbulfrog and grab the Bubbul Gem.

Defeat the Boss Bokoblin

The big back chamber holds a Boss Bokoblin with Bokoblin and Moblin backup. Parry its swing or hit it from behind with a Sneakstrike; it drops Boss Bokoblin parts.

Open the Royal Bow, Royal Claymore and Barbarian Leg Wraps chests

The north ledge holds three chests: a Royal Bow (or Traveler’s Bow, Soldier’s Bow or Knight’s Bow, depending on your progress), a Royal Claymore (or Traveler’s Claymore, Soldier’s Claymore or Knight’s Claymore, depending on your progress) beside a large crystal, and, inside a red-banner gate, the Barbarian Leg Wraps.

Entrances, chests and tips

  • Entrances: the north entrance sits next to Jikais Shrine at the north end of Walnot Mountain and is guarded by a Black Boss Bokoblin with Black Bokoblins. The south entrance is near a body of water just east of the Hateno Ancient Tech Lab, with Blue and Black Horriblins nearby.
  • Chests: a Soldier’s-Spear Halberd (Soldier’s Spear (or Traveler’s Spear, Knight’s Halberd or Royal Halberd, depending on your progress) fused with a Halberd) on a higher ledge near the south entrance; a frozen chest lower down with a Giant Boomerang; roughly halfway through, an opening to the northwest holds an ice-covered chest with the Barbarian Leg Wraps (the legs piece of the Barbarian Armor); another frozen chest further in has a Knight’s Claymore. The Royal Bow and Royal Claymore chests are described above. Melt ice with any fire source: Fire Fruit, a Flame Emitter or a torch.
  • Bubbulfrog: in the lower chamber. Hit it for the Bubbul Gem.
  • Enemies: Boss Bokoblin (it can carry a Stone Two-Handed Axe, so expect to be knocked down once or twice), Bokoblins, Horriblins, Ice Like and Ice Chuchu.
  • Materials: Bomb Flowers, Brightbloom Seeds, Brightcaps and Amber deposits. No Korok seeds are listed. The nearest shrine is Jikais Shrine.
