Purah asks you to find the fifth sage by investigating ruins from the age of legends. The trail runs from Paya and Tauro in Kakariko Village to the Ring Ruins, then to a Zonai relic on Dragonhead Island, where you meet Mineru, the Sage of Spirit, before reporting back to Purah.

Talk to Purah
Speak to Purah at Lookout Landing. She explains that Princess Zelda and five sages fought beside King Rauru in the ancient Imprisoning War, that the other sages have their own regions covered, and that you should search the ruins from that age for the fifth.
Meet Paya and Tauro in Kakariko Village
Head to Kakariko Village and find Paya and Tauro. They tell you the floating Ring Ruins hold an account relating to the sages and ask you to investigate there, which starts the Secret of the Ring Ruins quest: photograph the writing on the slab inside the floating Ring Ruins with the Camera and show it to them.
Follow the Zonai relic to Dragonhead Island
Secret of the Ring Ruins sends you to Dracozu Lake to meet Tauro, where you collect the Charged Headdress, Charged Shirt and Charged Trousers, wear the full lightning set and offer a Zonai Charge at the Altar at the Tail on the lake’s southwest end. That clears the storm over the Thunderhead Isles and shows the way to Dragonhead Island (Popla Foothills Skyview Tower is the closest launch point). On the island, use the rails, fans and lightning turret to climb to the door at the back, which needs 10 hearts and starts Guidance from Ages Past. Inside the ruins there is a Zonai relic; the moment you touch it, a mysterious voice speaks in your mind and the quest log updates.
Meet Mineru and report back
Carry the relic through the ruins and place it where the head of the statue belongs. The voice answers as Mineru, the Sage of Spirit, and tells you about the Imprisoning War and Zelda’s wish to restore the Master Sword. Then return to Purah at Lookout Landing and tell her what you learned to finish the quest.
Rewards
Find the Fifth Sage has no item reward of its own. Finishing Guidance from Ages Past gives you the Vow of Mineru, and telling Purah completes the quest, which also closes Crisis at Hyrule Castle and points you toward Trail of the Master Sword.
With Mineru found, all five sages are ready to stand beside you against the Demon King.
