When Link reaches Zora’s Domain during Regional Phenomena, he finds sludge falling from the sky and coating the plaza. The Zora have run out of Splash Fruit while treating people affected by it, and the statue at the center of the domain is still covered. This is a short main quest: clean the statue, then speak with Yona, Khira and Chroma again. The scene reveals the statue’s meaning and sends Link to meet Sidon at Mipha Court.

Walkthrough

Find Yona at the statue

Go to the center plaza in Zora’s Domain, around 3300, 0463, 0139. You will find Yona, Khira and Chroma discussing the sludge-covered statue. Listen to their conversation, then speak with Yona to start the quest. The statue is directly behind them. It is covered in dark sludge, but you do not need a special item to clean it.

Wash the sludge away

Use Splash Fruit on the statue. If you have one in your inventory, you can hold it and drop it close to the statue, then hit it to release the water. You can also fuse a Splash Fruit to an arrow and shoot the statue.

The fruit needs to land close enough for its splash to reach the statue. If you are out of Splash Fruit, look for the small trees around the Lanayru region. There are some near Upland Zorana Skyview Tower, west of the domain. Chuchu Jelly, a Hydrant or a water-based attack can also wash away sludge. Splash Fruit is also useful elsewhere in the area, since sludge blocks other spots such as the Upland Zorana Skyview Tower.

Speak with the Zora again

After the statue is clean, talk to Yona, Khira and Chroma again. They recognize Link and explain that the statue depicts him riding Sidon during their earlier fight to save Zora’s Domain. Yona then points Link toward Mipha Court on Ploymus Mountain, where Sidon is investigating the sludge.

The statue itself is named The Turning Tide. The quest gives no item reward. Mogawak Shrine is nearby if you want to clear it while you are here.

That completes The Sludge-Covered Statue and leads into Sidon of the Zora. Yona also asks Link to visit her at the infirmary after he has seen Sidon. Speak with her there to begin Restoring the Zora Armor.
