A beam of light in Gerudo Canyon leads to a crystal that opens Rakakudaj Shrine. Find the crystal at the south end of the canyon, strap it to a wheeled cart built with Ultrahand and drive it north along the river bed to the shrine, where it sits in a pedestal at the entrance.

Walkthrough

Find the crystal

Stand near the river in Gerudo Canyon and follow the beam of light from Rakakudaj Shrine south to the crystal, around (-1899, -2342) at the foot of the canyon wall, where it lies among tumbleweeds and fallen rocks. You can also start the quest by examining the shrine’s base or the crystal, which makes the beam appear. The beam vanishes for a stretch, so keep following the riverbed until it reappears; abandoned vehicle pieces on the right mark the crystal. Pick it up with Ultrahand; it is too heavy to carry.

Build a cart

Two vehicle pieces lie in the rubble: a platform with four big wheels and a platform with two big wheels and a Steering Stick. Join them with Ultrahand (check that the tyre arrows face the right way) and attach the crystal to the front slab. Six wheels make it easier to climb over the river rocks.

Drive along the river

Steer the cart north up the river bed toward the beam. If it snags on a rock, get off and nudge it free with Ultrahand. Keep the crystal on the platform; if it falls off, lift it back on. With only one battery you may have to stop halfway to let it recharge.

Place the crystal at the shrine

Stop in front of Rakakudaj Shrine and lift the crystal into the pedestal at the entrance. The doors open and the shrine’s single chest and Light of Blessing are yours.

Rewards

You unlock Rakakudaj Shrine, which holds a chest with a Mighty Zonaite Longsword (the tier you receive depends on your progress) and awards a Light of Blessing once you reach the green gate at the end. The shrine itself has no puzzle.

Tips

  • Light the Jadukakar Lightroot beneath the shrine when you reach the Depths.
  • Batteries drain while you drive; if you only have one, pause to let it recharge.
