A sealed stone gate stands on the Sky Mine island. Follow the beam of green light to a crystal on another floating island, carry it back with Ultrahand and set it on the altar by the gate. That opens Gikaku Shrine, a Rauru’s Blessing shrine with a Ruby chest and a Light of Blessing.
Walkthrough
Find the shrine gate and start the quest
Launch from the Ulri Mountain Skyview Tower and glide east to the Sky Mine island. A stone arch with a circular blue marker stands there; approach it and the voice asks for a crystal, starting the quest. A beam of green light now rises from the island that holds the crystal. Other guides describe reaching the crystal by riding the cross-shaped islands’ launchers upward: turn each launcher’s centre wheel to aim it at the next island, and place a nearby block on the last launcher to knock a floating platform out of the way before the final launch. The crystal sits beside the sky sphere on the highest of these islands.
Follow the beam to the crystal
Fly or launch to the small island the beam points to. The crystal sits in a stone cradle beside a pedestal; there is loose Luminous Stone around it, which is worth collecting. Grab the crystal with Ultrahand. Face the shrine using your map, release it and let it fall; it lands on the Sky Mine island below, and you dive after it if it rolls.
Carry the crystal down to the Sky Mine
Lift the crystal with Ultrahand and glide, or float it ahead of you, back toward the shrine island below. You can also set it down on the edge and drop it onto the shrine’s platform. Dive after it if it rolls toward the edge so it does not fall off the map.
Offer the crystal at the altar
Carry the crystal onto the stone platform at the end of the island and set it on the circular altar beneath the stone arch. The shrine gate opens; walk in for Gikaku Shrine, collect the Ruby from the chest and take the Light of Blessing at the end.
Rewards
Completing the quest unlocks Gikaku Shrine, whose chest holds a Ruby, plus its Light of Blessing.
Tips
- Bring Zonai Fans or a Rocket to cross between islands quickly.
- Gikaku has no puzzle: open the Ruby chest and touch the green gate at the end for the Light of Blessing.
- Light of Blessings count toward Heart Containers and Stamina Vessels at a Goddess Statue.
