Gemimik Shrine (Turbine Power)

Gemimik Shrine is a puzzle shrine. Use Ultrahand, Fuse, Ascend and Recall to reach the terminal at the end. The trial is called Turbine Power. It sits on the spiral Rist Peninsula, east of the Ulri Mountain Skyview Tower and northeast of Malin Bay; glide east from the tower, or walk the spiral path up from Malin Bay. The Kimimeg Lightroot lies directly beneath it in the Depths.

Gemimik Shrine is at map coordinates 4512, 2115 (height 15), near Rist Mine.

Solution

Complete the circuit

A metal board lies near the second electrical device and the circuit to the central turbine has a gap. Use Ultrahand to set the board in the gap so current flows and the central machine starts turning.

Ride the updraft to the chest

Attach the loose fan to the spinning turbine so it blows air upward, then climb the ramp, jump over the turbine and glide up the current to the ledge. The chest is across from the Flame Emitter platform. Open it for a Zonaite Shield (Strong or Mighty, depending on your progress).

Fit a Flame Emitter on the turbine

Take a Flame Emitter from the platform above, carry it down and attach it to the turning part of the turbine. Hit the turbine if it is not running; its rotation sweeps fire in a circle around the room. Lighting the torches one by one fails because sprinklers put them out, so use the turbine. Light every torch

Let the swinging flame light all the torches before the water extinguishers douse them; if the flame misses, re-run the turbine. When all torches burn the exit opens and the terminal gives the Light of Blessing.

Directly under this shrine, in the Depths, is the Kimimeg Lightroot. Light it from below to reveal that part of the Depths map.
