Jonsau Shrine (Deep Force)

Jonsau Shrine is a water puzzle: pull a buoyant ball or slab to the bottom of the pool with Ultrahand and let go, and it shoots up into its target. Do it three times, pull the chest out of the water on the way, and take the Mighty Construct Bow. The trial is called Deep Force. It sits in Lanayru Wetlands, about 108 map units from Linebeck Island. The Uasnoj Lightroot lies directly beneath it in the Depths.

How to find it

Jonsau Shrine is at map coordinates 1743, 17 (height 38), on Mercay Island in the Lanayru Wetlands, reached by wading the shallow marsh east of Wetland Stable (a Bokoblin and Lizalfos camp is nearby). It can also be reached by launching from Sahasra Slope Skyview Tower and gliding northeast. No cave or climbing is needed.

Solution

Sink the ball under the first target

In the first room, grab the floating yellow ball with Ultrahand and pull it down to the bottom of the water directly below the target. You cannot use Ultrahand while swimming, so stay on the edge. Release it so it pops up into the target and opens the gate on the right.

Take the chest out of the water

Defeat the Construct that rounds the corner, then look into the water: a chest sits on the bottom. Pull it up with Ultrahand and set it on the floor to open it. It holds a Mighty Construct Bow (Strong or Mighty, depending on your progress).

Sink the yellow slab

In the second room, grab the long yellow slab with Ultrahand and rotate it upright, then hold it at the bottom of the water beneath the target and let go. It shoots up into the target and opens the door.

Raise yourself on the lift

In the last room, sink the yellow ball under the hanging lift and wooden pallet and release it to knock them into the water. Attach the pallet to the lift and climb on. Pull the ball down underneath, centre it below the pallet and let go: the buoyant ball carries you up so you can glide to the terminal. Some guides also use Recall on the lift to ride it back up.

Take the Light of Blessing

Touch the terminal at the top of the steps to receive the Light of Blessing.

The Lightroot below

Directly under this shrine, in the Depths, is the Uasnoj Lightroot. Light it from below to reveal that part of the Depths map.
