Kitawak Shrine (Upward and Forward)

Kitawak Shrine is a puzzle shrine. Use Ultrahand, Fuse, Ascend and Recall to reach the terminal at the end. The trial is called Upward and Forward. It sits on top of East Gerudo Mesa, southeast of Spectacle Rock; a Flame Gleeok patrols the south of Spectacle Rock, so gliding in from the Gerudo Canyon Skyview Tower is safest, and you will need heat protection. The Kawatik Lightroot lies directly beneath it in the Depths.

How to find it

Kitawak Shrine is at map coordinates -1530, -2928 (height 334), near East Gerudo Mesa.

Solution

Lower the first bridge and ride the gear

Pick up the plank at the start with Ultrahand and attach it to the upright panel so the extra weight drops it across the gap. Cross, then fix the plank to the gear on the wall to build a moving platform that carries you to the far side.

Take the chest

Hop off the gear and climb the ramps to the top: a chest there holds Arrow x10. Glide back down afterwards.

Make a ramp on the seesaw

Back on the main platform, lower the next raised bridge with a plank the same way, then lay a plank across the seesaw so it forms a ramp. It does not have to be neat; it only has to get you to the next level.

Launch upward and forward

Stand at the low end of the ramp over the piston and hit the pillar with an arrow to fire it, which throws you up. Turn around, join two planks into a long arm, stand near its end and shoot the pillar again; the second launch carries you high enough to glide onto the exit platform and the terminal.
