How to find it
Mayanas Shrine is at map coordinates 4613, -947 (height 1803), on a sky island of the South Lanayru Sky Archipelago. Launch from Mount Lanayru Skyview Tower, glide northeast and work your way up the islands using the Zonai devices provided. Examining the shrine entrance starts the quest The South Lanayru Sky Crystal: a beam of light points to a crystal on a higher island, walled in by vines. Burn or cut the vines (a Fire Fruit works), enter, take the crystal, and fly it back down on a device built from the parts on the island (a Wing, Fans and batteries). Place the crystal at the shrine to open it.
Solution
Make ice with the Frost Emitters
Go down the stairs to the room with a pool, Frost Emitters and Ice Fruit. Use Ultrahand to point a Frost Emitter at the water, or throw Ice Fruit into it, to form ice slabs that float on the surface. Ice is what you need here: metal plates are too heavy to slide well.
Slide the ice onto the target
Carry an ice slab to the top of the slope and let it slide down across the spikes so it hits the target at the far end; time it if the target moves. Hitting it opens the gate behind you. In the second room, make ice again and send it down the slope, curving it onto the fixed target. If it slides short or off, block the far end of the spikes with solid plates so the ice stops on the target, or join plates into a bridge across the spikes and place a slab by hand with Ultrahand.
Open the chest and take the Light of Blessing
Hitting the second target opens the cell with the chest, which holds a Zonaite Shield (Strong or Mighty, depending on your progress); some guides list it as a Mighty Zonaite Shield (Strong or Mighty, depending on your progress). Then go back to the green terminal and touch it to receive the Light of Blessing.
