Mogawak Shrine (The Power of Water)

Mogawak Shrine is a puzzle shrine. Use Ultrahand, Fuse, Ascend and Recall to reach the terminal at the end. The trial is called The Power of Water. It sits in Lanayru Great Spring, about 76 map units from Cave Under Zora’s Domain. The Kawagom Lightroot lies directly beneath it in the Depths.

How to find it

Mogawak Shrine is at map coordinates 3299, 423 (height 125), near Cave Under Zora’s Domain. It sits in the shallows directly beneath Zora’s Domain and the Great Zora Bridge: drop off the edge of one of the lower paths, or glide east from Upland Zorana Skyview Tower and land in front of it.

Solution

The shrine runs on a water wheel and a portable battery. Charge the battery with the wheel, then use it to power the elevator.

Add a paddle to the water wheel

Use Ultrahand to lift the wooden board from the water and attach it to the water wheel opposite the board already fixed there. Swing it into the small waterfall so the wheel keeps turning and feeds the battery charger.

Charge the battery

Pick up the battery in front of the elevator and set it on the charger beside the wheel. Wait until it is fully lit before you move it. While it charges, look in the water by the wheel for a sunken chest and pull it up with Ultrahand: it holds a Magic Scepter (guides describe it on the water-wheel side, the left of the right-hand corridor).

Take the optional chest

For the chest in the flooded side room, set the charged battery on the pedestal to its left, then use Ultrahand to bring the two floating mines together so current runs through the water and opens the door. Swim in, keeping clear of the electrified water, and open the chest for an Opal. Separate the mines again and put the battery back on the charger afterward if it ran low; a charged battery is required for the elevator, so do not skip this recharge.

Ride the elevator to the terminal

Carry the charged battery to the elevator and climb aboard first. Then use Ultrahand to set the battery on the pedestal at the back of the lift to raise it to the top.
