Walkthrough
Reach the Horned Statue
Enter the Royal Hidden Passage from the Emergency Shelter beneath Lookout Landing after taking on Who Goes There? from Jerrin. Follow the tunnel to its dead end, smash the brown rocks with a Rock-fused heavy weapon (a boulder fused to a big weapon works), then smash the rocks on the right to uncover the Horned Statue. Pray to it to begin.
Let it take a Heart Container
The statue takes one of your Heart Containers and explains its bargain: it will buy your essence for 100 rupees, and it will only give essence back if you pay. Stay still while it works; this starts the side adventure.
Choose which essence it returns
Talk to the statue again and choose between a Heart Container or a Stamina Vessel as the essence it returns to you. Most guides describe it as simply returning the heart it took, and the statue then stays open to further bargains. Talking to the two women outside the cave also finishes Who Goes There?.
Tips
- The statue will not take your last heart or stamina, and once you are at the maximum all you can do is sell essence and buy it back.
- Each swap between hearts and stamina costs a net 20 rupees (sell for 100, buy for 120).
