Walkthrough

Talk to Penn and Gotter

Find Penn under the big tree at Riverside Stable and hear him out: the cook Gotter is worried that a group of regular guests never arrived. Gotter waits in the fenced pen beside the river at the stable. Speak to him and he tells you the gourmets were due to cross Owlan Bridge.

Find the gourmets’ camp

Cross Owlan Bridge and follow the road into the woods by the lake to the camp of tents and a cooking pot, near (544, -1186). The gourmets are lying around feeling ill. Talk to each of them. Agus, the leader, leans against a tree in front of the pot; the others include Teli, Joute and Endai. Joute swapped monster parts for the meat in Zelda’s recipe, which made them ill.

Read the recipe and cook a Meat and Rice Bowl

Check the cookbook and papers beside the pot: it is Princess Zelda’s recipe for a Meat and Rice Bowl, and it calls for 1 Raw Meat, 1 Hylian Rice and 1 Rock Salt. Put exactly those three in the cooking pot (ordinary Raw Meat; Raw Prime Meat makes a different dish and will not work), then give the Meat and Rice Bowl to Agus.

Tell Penn

Once the gourmets are back on their feet they thank you and replace the ingredients you used. Penn then pays you for the story, either arriving at the camp or at the stable; some guides say you do not need to walk back.

Rewards

Penn pays 100 rupees (a Silver Rupee) when the quest is done, and the gourmets return the ingredients you cooked. Finishing it lets Teli start Feathered Fugitives at the stable.

Tips

  • Raw Meat comes from hunting boars, deer or goats; Rock Salt from breaking ore deposits in caves or wells; Hylian Rice from a merchant at the stable or from grass.
  • The camp is not far from Riverside Stable, so you can also cook a bowl elsewhere beforehand and carry it with you.
