After the monsters are driven off, Bolson wants to rebuild Lurelin Village. Bring him 15 ordinary tree logs (not from palm trees) and 20 bundles of Hylian Rice, then help him repair the buildings.

Walkthrough

Hear Bolson’s plan

Talk to Bolson on the beach in Lurelin Village once the village is clear. He plans to use the village’s palm trees as central pillars, so the logs he needs must come from other trees. He asks for 15 logs and 20 Hylian Rice.

Collect 15 logs

Cut down pine or other non-palm trees on the hills around Lurelin. Stack the logs together with Ultrahand and carry them down in one bundle, or pile them on a cart or raft. Do not use palm logs; they will not count.

Collect Hylian Rice and deliver the materials

Hylian Rice can be bought in bundles at the Hateno General Store, or gathered by cutting grass in wet regions. Drop off the logs and rice with Bolson. He starts preparing the foundations while you wait.

Help repair the buildings

Bolson takes you through the five damaged buildings: three businesses and two houses. For most, cut a straight palm tree next to the building and place its log as the central pillar, as Bolson directs. The inn, an overturned boat hull, works differently, so follow his instructions when you reach it. When every building is repaired the quest finishes.

Rewards

The villagers give you free access to the village’s facilities from then on: a free night at the inn, one free restaurant meal per day, and one free play of the Lucky Treasure Shop game per day. Each repaired building also pays out once (item lists vary slightly between guides):

Tips

  • Pine thickets on the cliffs near Sifumim Shrine (and north of Tuft Mountain in Atun Valley) are the easiest source of logs. Trees regrow once you move away, and Treant enemies also drop logs.
  • Hylian Rice is sold in bundles of five at general stores such as Hateno, Lookout Landing, Zora’s Domain, Goron City and Korok Forest, and Beedle sometimes stocks it.
