Walkthrough

Talk to Hudson and Rhondson

Go to the Hudson Construction office in Tarrey Town and speak with Rhondson and Hudson at their desk. Hudson explains that Mattison is moving to Gerudo Town soon, as Gerudo law requires, and that he has been too busy to spend time with her. Follow him outside and talk to Hudson and Rhondson again to start the adventure.

Find Mattison

Climb the stairs to Mattison’s house in the town and talk to her. She is studying the Gerudo language and quizzes the townspeople; if it is night she asks you to join her lessons with Monari in front of the Goddess Statue in the morning. When she asks what the Gerudo word for grandma is, the answer is “Vaba”. She says she wants to ride the railcar to her father’s job site to help him, but Hagie, who runs the railcar, charges a toll and she has no money.

Hide Hagie’s view with a screen

Hudson’s cutout signs are stored in a hidden storeroom: glide into the cave in the cliff southeast of the railcar station (Tarrey Town Tunnel), follow it to the raised circular platform at the end, and use Ascend to come up in the storeroom. Move the Hudson sign off the door, open it, and Rhondson thanks you and leaves several signs. Lay one sign flat, attach another upright on top with Ultrahand, and set the screen in front of Hagie; do not build it right next to him or he will notice. There is also an easy alternative: throw a Puffshroom at Hagie and talk to Mattison while the smoke lasts. Either way, talk to Mattison and tell her to run to the railcar. If the railcar is not at the station, shoot an arrow into its wood to start and stop it. Talk to Mattison, then let her board the railcar while he is distracted. She rides the railcar to the Hudson Construction Site, so follow her there.

Deliver 10 Sundelions

At the worksite, Hudson needs 10 Sundelions to dye the balloon yellow, Mattison’s favorite color. Sundelions grow on sky islands such as the Sokkala Sky Archipelago above Tarrey Town, and two sit on the fallen sky blocks around the construction site; the nearby Lookout Point launches you to islands with several more. Give Hudson the flowers and the family takes you on a ride in the yellow balloon as Mattison leaves for Gerudo Town. Hudson and Rhondson each give you a Silver Rupee (100 rupees each, 200 in total, so some sources list it as 200 rupees).

Rewards

  • Silver Rupee from each of Hudson and Rhondson (2 x 100 rupees)
  • Hagie stops charging for the railcar
  • Unlocks Home on Arrange and the other Tarrey Town building projects

Tips

  • Collect your Sundelions before you start the last step; Recall on fallen ruins carries you up to the sky islands.
  • Any tall object works as a screen, but the Hudson signs are the easiest to stand upright.
  • Rhondson’s house costs 1,500 rupees; if you have finished The Hunt for Bubbul Gems, Kilton in Tarrey Town also starts the monster collection projects.
