Robbie asks you to retrieve the Travel Medallion Prototype from the Akkala Ancient Tech Lab in the north-east of the map, which has been taken over by intruders. Bring it back to him to unlock the Travel Medallion, a warp point you can set anywhere and return to at any time.
Walkthrough
Take the job from Robbie
Talk to Robbie at the Hateno Ancient Tech Lab after he finishes the upgrades from the research-lab quests. He explains that the prototype was left behind at his old lab in Akkala, and that dangerous trespassers now occupy it. The lab’s position is marked in the far north-east of your map.
Clear the Akkala Ancient Tech Lab and take the prototype
Travel to the Akkala Ancient Tech Lab (map position about 4522, 3167) and deal with the Yiga Clan members who have moved in. Two guards stop you at the entrance, a Yiga Footsoldier and a Yiga Blademaster, and both hit hard, so bring good weapons and healing food. The nearest shrine for fast travel is Jochi-iu Shrine, just down the road. Once they are beaten, a kidnapped Hylian named Konba, who was being forced to sew Yiga clothing, thanks you and hands over the Yiga Armor (used in the Infiltrating the Yiga Clan quest). Robbie says the prototype is in a chest on the lab’s first floor beside his old desk. Open it to receive the Travel Medallion Prototype.
Return the prototype to Robbie
Take the prototype back to Robbie. He installs it in the Purah Pad and the Travel Medallion appears in your Key Items. The Pad can hold two more medallions: a second unlocks once 10 regions are mapped and a third once 15 regions are mapped (activate Skyview Towers to map regions). Visit Robbie each time to finish the upgrade.
Rewards
You earn the Travel Medallion and, after Robbie’s follow-up upgrades, a total of three medallions to place as warp points. Konba also gives you the Yiga Armor after the fight at the lab. The quest is complete once all three medallions are installed. The quest only appears after the Hateno Village Research Lab quest is done.
Tips
- Set a medallion before a long trip so you can warp straight back to a camp or crafting spot.
- Medallions are used from your Key Items.
