The Long Dragon

Kazul has found a monolith in the Thyphlo Ruins reading “Display the power of the Sage of Lightning at the end of the long dragon that protects the mountain of death.” Walk to the tail of the long dragon, call Riju’s lightning down on it and open the chest in the chamber that rises. It holds Topaz x3.

Read the monolith

Kazul camps beside the Thyphlo Ruins Skyview Tower with a row of mossy monoliths. Once the regional phenomena are underway and you have Riju as a sage, he shows you four monoliths. The right-most one gives you the Long Dragon riddle and starts the adventure; it mentions the Sage of Lightning, so you cannot finish it until you have Riju’s power.

Strike the end of the long dragon

The “long dragon” is a long paved path in the ruins that begins at a dragon head at the southeast corner of the island and winds along the east side to end at a square paved tile at roughly (451, 3084). Walk to the end of the dragon’s tail, summon Riju and use her lightning ability to create a circle of lightning there, then shoot an arrow at the square tile or at something inside the circle while it is active. The chest rises from the tile (some guides describe it as a chamber opening beneath it). The statue starts near the Korok Friend on the island’s southeast edge; follow it anticlockwise and it ends abruptly at the tile.

Open the hidden chest

Open the chest: it holds Topaz x3 (the gem type matches the sage’s element, so Riju gives Topaz). The side adventure completes as soon as you open it, and it counts toward Kazul’s Investigate the Thyphlo Ruins series.
