Walkthrough
Talk to Penn and Chork at the goat pen
Speak to Penn at Tabantha Bridge Stable, then talk to Chork, the stable hand, who is standing right beside him by the empty goat pen. Chork explains that the goats bolted after being fed a special mix made from Princess Zelda’s recipe and that only some uneaten Hylian Pine Cones were left behind.

Follow the Hylian Pine Cones
Leave the pen and look for the Hylian Pine Cones lying on the ground; they mark the goats’ trail. Follow them away from the stable along the road to the south-east and east, into the Seres Scablands. The cones are not spaced far apart, so they are easy to follow.

Find the goats
The herd of white goats is resting in the grass beneath a giant toadstool and tree. A message-in-a-bottle lies among the goats; examine it to complete the search. Chork arrives behind you, mortified that he got the feed recipe wrong.

Report to Penn
Penn arrives at the herd to hear the story. Talk to him and he pays you for the scoop before heading off to write it up for the paper.

Rewards
Penn pays you rupees. The amount depends on how many Potential Princess Sightings! quests you have completed: 50 rupees (a Purple Rupee) if it is your first or second, and more later (50 plus 20 on the third, 100 or more after the fifth). Most guides list 50 rupees as the base reward.
Tips
- The Hylian Pine Cones are ingredients too, so pick up a few on the way.
- You can reach the herd quickly on horseback or by gliding down; the trail is short.
