GiverVarke
Starts inSnowfield Stable, Hebra (about -1655, 2572)
RequirementsThe Camera on your Purah Pad (Camera Work in the Depths); one Regional Phenomenon completed; cold resistance; clear weather
Reward1 Pony Point, Spicy Meat Stew

Varke, who runs Snowfield Stable, wants a painting of the giant bird with wings stretched wide that can be seen in the Hebra Mountains when it is not snowing. Go to the lone cedar on Talonto Peak (about -3171, 2682), look north-west and photograph the bird, then show the picture to Varke.

Walkthrough

Examine the empty frame

Go into Snowfield Stable and examine the empty frame on the wall, then talk to Varke. He describes the bird as visible to the north-west of the lone cedar tree on Talonto Peak, but only when it is not snowing; he has never seen it himself because he cannot leave the stable. Equip warm clothing or drink a Spicy Elixir before you head out.

Reach Talonto Peak and take the photo

Travel to Talonto Peak in the Hebra Mountains; gliding down from Mayaumekis Shrine in the sky is a fast route. Stand beside the lone cedar at the top, look north-west and open the Camera; a red notification appears when the bird is in view. Take the picture while the sky is clear.

Show Varke the photo

Return to Snowfield Stable and show Varke the picture from your Album. He hangs it in the frame and rewards you. You can bring a new picture of the same scene whenever you like, and he will swap the painting.

Rewards

You receive 1 Pony Point and Spicy Meat Stew. If your inventory is full the gift is held back, so make a free slot before you hand over the photo.

Tips

  • Reports say the weather over Talonto Peak only stays clear once Tulin of Rito Village is finished; if it keeps snowing, come back after that quest.
  • The peak is cold, so wear cold-resistant gear or take a Spicy Elixir.
